Reporting incidents to Essex Police

Published: 10 June 2026

The Village Council was pleased to welcome PS Bayley to the Annual Parish Meeting on 3rd June 2026.
PS Bayley provided an update on policing in the local area.

An important area discussed was the importance of reporting all incidents to the Police and even information from a minor incident may prove helpful to compile a larger intelligence picture and lead to preventing further crimes.

Reporting incidents to the police is highly important for community safety, as it officially documents crimes.   Reporting even minor incidents helps build a larger intelligence picture, which can prevent repeat victimisation and help officers track persistent offenders.

Essex Police can be contacted in various ways for non-urgent matters.
